Though the moment, one of many is now past and in the wind, I can't let go of the feelings or my false words now rescind. I can say I meant no harm or I can say I tried my best, But this time I was just selfish, this time like all the rest. Your fall it brings me pleasure and it makes me feel fulfilled, But I'm sowing pain and heartache, and in time I will be billed. I'm everything you wanted, and that's all that I can't be, I told you I would break you, but the myth is all you see. I will calm and keep my distance, till the burning has abated, But you again will not be free, this hunger can't be sated. I tell myself just one more time,

The merest touch brings startled gasp, Sparks appear within the air. A firmer touch makes fingers clasp, A sigh reveals the effort there. A breath that quickens also shows, The spiralling of captured mind. With each new move sensation grows, Crumbled walls are left behind. Crescendo comes before too long, The silent call is for the best. I listen to the heartfelt song, And rest your head upon my chest.

Leaving Darkness

Head so full of secret dreams, They bleed into a crashing sea. Where lives are leaking from the seams, And none are who they seem to be. It took a plunging ravens wing, The darkness helped me see the light. What fractured future will this bring, Can one lost tangled path be right? I do not choose to preach me lost, Nor pity from you to entreat. I only seek to weigh the cost, For life it offers no retreat. The die is cast, the step is taken. I move to face another day. Forget the darkness I've forsaken, It only held me from my way.

You may tell me of the long hopes, And the need to muster through. You may tell me how I must try, Or to do it all for you. You may tell me that it will end, That the pain will soon be gone. You may tell me all the words you like, The darkness just goes on. Do not cry for my long torment, For the end is drawing near. Whether to a cliff or open plain, I have a path to clear.

There is light come out of darkness, And it burns me in the night. There is choice in all this harshness, There are reasons left to fight. But in all the ravens feathers, Is there room for one small dove? When my life is brought together, Will there be no time for love? Must I hide the spark within me, Lest the spark become a flame? Will my life burn down around me, If I dare to speak it's name? Life is nothing but the choices, That we make ourselves decide. And the many mocking voices, That we tend to let inside. So at each and every junction, I choose which dark path to take. As I fight the strong compunction, to lie down and not awake.

Same as me but further on, Or maybe just a different path Oh so perfect for a moment, Is this how my own die could cast? A pulling line that stills me still And holds me to a better way I draw from it and miss it too I wept and laughed and lived that day The precipice it beckons me, And sings so sweetly of the fall. Spanish Musings

So I´m in spain, and almost completely cut off from online, which is  astruggle for me, thankfully I have countless pleasures with which to distract myself( I am on Honeymoon after all) But it´s making me wonder how depèndent on the net I am for social connection. I feel lost when I can´t remember something and I can´t just whip out my smart phone and look it up. I find myself wondering whats happening on the sites I frequent.  Am I a net addict? Can I function properly without a daily dose of connection, and , perhaps more importantly.... do I want to?

Return... Maybe

I have a sporadic interest in DA. I've put up a few pieces from time to time, I've used it to explore the work of people far more talented than I. So I'm back again... maybe I'll put more effort in this time, maybe I'll get more out of it. Who Knows? I'll give it a shot and shove my ramblings and potshots through the DA Pidgeon hole machine.

Life is like an obscure foriegn film. You could spend the entire time trying to figure it out and giving yourself a headache in the process, but its probably better to just sit back, try to enjoy it, and hope that it all makes sense when its over
